Oskam is a passionate family business that has been developing small mobile machines for the production of compressed earth blocks for more than 25 years. This is based on the belief that it is possible to meet the urgent need for comfortable homes in many places, using locally available materials with respect for the earth.

Oskam is a passionate family business that has been developing small mobile machines for the production of compressed earth blocks for more than 25 years. This is based on the belief that it is possible to meet the urgent need for comfortable homes in many places, using locally available materials with respect for the earth.

From the start, compressed earth blocks, clay plaster, clay mortar and floor clay have been produced for the European market. This resulted in a set of machines for small-scale commercial production of these clay products. Much experience has been gained in on-site production with the most diverse clay types worldwide.

I met Rokus (CEO) for the first time around 1995. After the release of Nelson Mandela in 1990, there was a lot of motivation in the West to contribute to a new society.
Always thinking along, developing, testing and fully committed to “learning by doing”, the first mobile machine eventually went to Mali in 2007, the mobile brick factory specially developed by Oskam. The machine is still running and has now produced more than two million bricks. Over the years we have made numerous improvements to the machines together. Our knowledge of making the mixes, testing bricks and building all come together in the training programs we have developed. All in all, I dare to say: Oskam does not just sell a (great) machine, and certainly not just any (great) story, Oskam ensures that a complete mobile factory starts moving on site and that it keeps running.
